The latest update from Brock Lesnar is that he underwent surgery to repair a hole in his intestine. It is not known exactly what caused the perforation in his intestine or stomach and how long he had it. Doctors did however, repair the hole and Lesnar is on the road to recovery.
There is speculation that perhaps the perforation was related to excess antibiotics, which doctors’ say is entirely possible. The other reason could be a hole in the stomach from excess acidity. Physicians say that this condition is recent and in no way could any individual remain alive if this perforation had occurred months ago. At most, this problem occurred very recently.
Said Dana white president of UFC, “Brock was in big pain, he was hurting…. We don’t know if he’ll ever fight again. He had a hole in his intestine. The (stuff) was leaking into his stomach. That’s what was causing him so much pain. That and he had abscesses. The doctor told him he hasn’t been right for a year. His immune system has been trying to fight this thing and that’s why he was susceptible to getting sick…. We’ll find out more next week. We’re going to send him to the Mayo Clinic for a couple of days. I don’t know what to say. It’s looking better now than last week, but what that means, I don’t know.”
After his recovery Brock Lesnar is scheduled to see specialists at the nearby Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN early next week for more tests. Said his trainer Greg Nelson, “No one can tell, but it seems right now it’s something he’ll definitely recover from.”
Well it appears that Brock is on his way to recovery but his wrestling future is still in doubt.
