Cleavage Mania in America

Ever since Marilyn Monroe revealed a glimpse of her busoms, women have been trying to show more of their breasts. Cleavage mania has hit America. Everywhere these days cleavage is visible. From the work place to places of social gathering, women have been strutting their large breasts wearing low cut blouses, skimpy bikini tops, casual tops and low cut tight fitting evening gowns.

Many a times the cleavage is so obvious that it is very difficult to pay attention to any other part of the woman’s body.

No matter what the reason(s) for cleavage are, most sex experts agree – it is a form of seduction. The effect of cleavage is obvious- most men find cleavage exciting and erotic and it is assumed women who reveal cleavage also find it pleasurable.

In strict terms cleavage should not reveal the nipple, but this is not always the case. The art of cleavage has a long history and started in the Victorian Era with royalties who were bored wanting to seduce men to their concubines. Soon French designers developed evening wear and gowns with deep cleavages which the public found titillating and the rest is history.

Today, cleavage can be seen in both public and private life. As to how much cleavage is acceptable depends on the public and norms of society. For some reason, our dress codes have regressed and more people love to show their skin. In rare cases, some women have been asked to cover their cleavage at airports but overall, no such rules exist. Cleavage today, had gained wide popularity because many Hollywood starlets love to reveal their assets. As to who has the best cleavage- beauty is in the eyes of beholder.
