Best Cyber Monday Deals
Posted by Anne Cordova in Daily News on November 30, 2009
Daily News and Trendsis your source for the best Cyber Monday 2009 deals. We’ve been scouring the internet all day, and there are even some Cyber Sunday deals! The best Cyber Monday deals come from big electronic retailers like Best Buy bestbuy.com, Dell dell.com, Amazon amazon.com, Apple apple.com, and a new site called QBid, qbid.com. Amazon.com has announced huge Cyber Monday 2009 Deals, and has started running most of them today. A rep for Amazon told LAPR that they are committed to offering the best Cyber Monday 2009 deals to consumers. Cyber Monday is attracting huge traffic already, and after a promising Black Friday 2009, and a promising Black Saturday 2009, retailers are gearing up for a big Cyber Monday
Walmart Walmart.com
The 2009 Cyber Monday deals at Walmart are likely some of the best in the country – with low overhead, and a massive fan base of loyal consumers, Walmart has built their brand around being the cheapest of the cheap retail stores. Walmart now carries an impressive line of electronics and technology that are all likely to go on sale on Cyber Monday this year. Walmart’s Cyber Monday deals in the past have typically been focused on TV sets and Video game consoles, but after massive growth in the past few years, Walmart’s Sales Ad will probably include more gadgets, electronics and entertainment than ever. Some Walmart stores were so busy last year during the Black Friday sales rush that they had to increase workers’ hours – in fact, some crowds got so rowdy about Walmart’s discounts that an employee was trampled to death by a stampede of savings-hungry shoppers – even after Walmart announced the tragedy over loudspeakers, people continued to shop. Now that you have an idea of what kind of madness Walmart’s sales can bring, you can only imagine how good those sales will look this Cyber Monday. Walmarts sales have been running all weekend (luckily there were no reported fatalities this Black Friday – the store where the incident last year happened remained open all night to avoid the 5 AM rush that caused the situation to occur. Walmart’s Cyber Monday Ad will go live on Monday morning (possibly as early as 12 AM on the dot). There are numerous Cyber Monday coupon codes specifically for Walmart on Cyber Monday 2009; if you are interested you just need to look around on a few coupon code sites to find the right ones.
Best Buy Bestbuy.com
Best Buy’s Cyber Monday Deals will probably focus on HDTV brands like Sony, LG, Hitachi, Samsung and others – having been the mecca for home entertainment lovers for some time, Best Buy’s consumers tend to go straight for the home entertainment, sound systems and Flatscreen HD TV deals on Cyber Monday. This year Best Buy will probably see a large increase in Desktop & Laptop sales from suppliers like Dell, HP, Compaq and Macintosh because of the aggressive marketing wars between the major computer companies (for example, Dell vs. Macintosh) – our thought is that in an effort to crush the competition we will see massive Cyber Monday Deals on these items in the 2009 sales holiday. Best Buy Cyber Monday Deals are likely to be amongst some of the best in the nation, but it’s not necessarily the in-store deals you should be looking out for (the ones that come with the Best Buy Cyber Monday Ad), it’s the Best Buy Cyber Monday Online Deals you should be looking out for. Check around 3rd party and affiliate websites to find limited availability coupon codes for computers (both laptops and desktops) as well as gaming systems (xbox 360, playstation, wii) and probably even some of their mid-level HDTVs (less than 30 inches).
Amazon.com
Amazon.com is a unique player in the Cyber Monday sales market – with no physical locations, Amazon.com is running at lower cost than other major retailers – surprisingly, they have very little trouble moving the exact same products. The only downside to not having a physical location is the lofty shipping fees, but those are only shown after a customer has already decided to make a purchase and will only deter the most frugal buyers; all that to say, Amazon.com has a leg up on Cyber Monday because they can give out better deals than the other stores – they don’t have to pay overhead costs like rent, or in-store staff (although there is a pretty hefty cost associated with the programmers that make sure the site runs at top notch shape). Amazon.com Cyber Monday deals will probably feature their pride and joy the Kindle, which is currently out of the minds of most Cyber Monday Deal shoppers – who knows, with a little incentive the Kindle could become a hot item this year. Amazon.com is also likely to feature Cyber Monday deals on movies, video games and video game systems.
Circuit City Circuitcity.com
Circuit City is seen by many as the less popular cousin of Best Buy, and as such will try twice as hard to get your attention this Cyber Monday. With comparable brand names and prices to stores like Walmart and Best Buy, Circuit City will be running very competitive brand-name Cyber Sunday sales in 2009 to get consumers to shop there. Circuit City has a wide variety of electronics (pretty much everything from laptops to TVs and home entertainment systems. The cheapest TVs and Home entertainment may be here this year during Cyber Monday, but with similar overhead and less income than larger retailers, Circuit City may be forced into slightly less competitive sales this year. If their Thanksgiving Weekend Sale is any indication though, Circuit City will come out with some great 2009 Cyber Monday deals that will bring you back for more. Circuit City coupons, discount codes and special deals can be found on the Circuit City website (circuitcity.com) as well as affiliate coupon code sites. Keep an eye out for Circuit City sales of 50% off or more – these clearance items could make great Christmas gifts (after all, who wouldn’t want a brand new HDTV or computer at a fraction of the retail price?)
Radio Shack Radioshack.com
Radio Shack is not often associated with Cyber Monday, but there are a lot of great deals to be found in this chain of stores – the best sales will probably be in-store, because they have less successful online sales than Best Buy or Amazon.com. The Cyber Monday Deals at Radio Shack will probably include discounts and deals on Video Games, Video Cameras, Computers, Electronic Keyboards, Phones, Dust-Off, and other low end but necessary electronics equipment. Radio Shacks lacking in the online sales department may be a benefit to consumers if they decide they want to increase the visibility of their online store – if they are smart (and they probably are), Radio Shack’s 2009 Cyber Monday Sales will include an online only portion that works using online-only sales coupons. If they do decide to do this, rest assured we will have them for you to try out.
Best Black Sunday Deals
Posted by Anne Cordova in Daily News on November 29, 2009
Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year – consumers bum rush department stores in search of the best deals in town. Once all the fun is done and over with many stores are left with surplus items that they just couldn’t (for whatever reason) shake on Black Friday — hence the need for a second, more discounted sales day called Black Saturday. Black Saturday, otherwise known as ‘Sunday after Thanksgiving sale’ or ‘Thanksgiving weekend sale’ is known as the day of leftovers – but leftovers aren’t always bad. Black Sunday comes with a lot of stale deals such as the infamous ‘$1 off this or 50 cents off that’ – you know, the deals that aren’t really deals at all. However, there are some great deals to be found amidst all the scraps, sometimes deals that are even more discounted than they were on Black Friday.
The most popular Black Saturday items tend to be HDTVs, laptop computers and navigation systems – especially as Cyber Monday comes closer, stores are starting to focus their sales efforts on their surplus of electronics and technology – anything that doesn’t get sold on Black Saturday will get sold on Cyber Monday for even greater discounts.
Black Saturday often rolls into Black Sunday (completing the ‘Thanksgiving Weekend Sale’) but usually Sunday is less popular, because all of the best sales from Black Saturday are gone, while the better sales from Cyber Monday are yet to come.
If you are looking to stock up on the best deals from Black Sunday, you don’t need to weed through Walmart.com Amazon.com or BestBuy.com (although you can if you are bored); there are a variety of websites that have already weeded through the bad to find just the good black Saturday deals, the ones that you actually want – furthermore, many of these sites have access to Black Sunday coupon codes that can’t be found anywhere else (many retailers like Circuit City, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon.com, Kohls, Victoria’s Secret, Uggs, and more will use special ‘Black Sunday online deals’ to coerce buyers into purchasing goods online rather than visiting a physical location (this keeps overhead low, and profit margins high – thus these savings are passed on to you via the coupon code).
So don’t delay, look around on some Black Sunday coupon sites and you will probably find exactly what you are looking for.If you miss out on the great deals today, there is always Cyber Monday.

Dell’s Inspiron 537s is on sale as well, so is the Dell Inspiron 546 and the Studio Slim Desktop (that retails for over $1000 but with Dell’s Cyber Monday deals it can be yours for only $679).
Always wanted a Dell gaming laptop or performance laptop like the Dell Studio XPS 16 ? Great news, one of Dell’s Online Deals for Cyber Monday leaked and the Studio XPS 16 is available for 20% off using coupon code: 5TK?LC9VJ5F$33 (this offer is valid through mid December, but it is unclear whether or not there are a limited number of promotional code uses available for Cyber Monday shoppers).
