Well, it seems men with names like Woods or Wood just can’t treat women right. Yesterday it was all Tiger Woods and his cheating behavior. Today, it is Ron Wood, the lead guitarist for the Rolling Stones. Sky News, London, reports that Ron was charged yesterday for assaulting his 18 month old girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova in Escher, England. Ron was released from prison after posting a small bail. A representative for Rolling Stones confirmed that Ron Wood was arrested but said that this was a private matter and they had nothing more to say on the subject.
In 2008, Ron divorced his wife of 24 years after being involved in several extra marital affairs. That divorce cost Ron Wood nearly $11 million.
Wood met Ivanova in early 2008 but the relationship has been quite stormy. The 20 year old pretty Ivanova has said that Ron has been insisting on a family but she is not ready for a baby yet. She would like to enjoy her life for another 10 years before starting a family. Said Ivanova recently, “Maybe it would be nice – but not for at least ten years,” she giggled. ‘I’m young, so I definitely don’t want a baby yet. And Ronnie’s a great dad, but I don’t know if he’d want any more.”
Last month Ivanova seemed rather upbeat and said that the 41 one year age difference means nothing when you are in love. “”This whole age thing is irrelevant,” she said.”Not every 60-year-old is going to be doing what people say 60-year-olds should do, like smoking a pipe, and not every 20-year-old likes to go clubbing either.”
After the assault, it is not known if Ivanova has the same perspective on dating men who are old enough to be her grand pa!
As a side note, Ron has two children both of whom are older than Ivanova.
