There is not much doubt that Penelope Cruz, 35 is going to marry someone and despite her denials the obvious choice is her long time companion Javier Bardem, 40.
Last night on David Letterman, she was asked if she was going to get married. As always the secretive Penelope would not divulge any of her deep secrets but it is fairly clear that she is set to wed Javier sometime.
Looking elegant and sexy, this Hollywood starlet said to David, “I don’t feel comfortable talking about my private life in public. I’ve been here a few times with you, you know I’m tough. One thing I don’t do, I don’t lie about my personal life,” she said. “It’s sacred to me. It’s my life. But I don’t give details about it because I am allergic to that.”
Despite more urging from letterman, Penelope did not budge and said, “I know,” Cruz replied with a romantic smile, “but I choose not to share some things!”
Rumors have been circulating for some time that Penelope and Javier were planning walking down the aisle sometime after Christmas. A few close friends of the couple have come forward to say that both have mentioned marriage sometime in the near future.
Recently Cruz did sit down with UK’s Psychologies magazine and said, “I want to have babies one day but not right now. When I do it I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life,” she said. “I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children.”
Common sense would predict that she weds a person she has known for some time than randomly seeking another man, but only time will tell. Hollywood personalities can be full of surprises.
